Hello, my name is Micah Dix. My intrigue of photography started about 8 years ago. I had just moved to NY and was working in the entertainment industry as a model/actor. Whilst on sets I had a bit of down time so, with that time I inquired with all the team members. What got them into their careers and how things were going. Ultimately landing on the question. How does it make you feel? For me, I had always felt that being part of a team and collaborating had always been a joy for me and an ideal environment for me to work in. I also believed that I had an artistic eye and wanted to pursue a creative career. So that very next week I found the inspiration and motivation to get a camera and start shooting. The opportunities that I had having been represented by an acting and modeling agency helped immensely. I worked for multiple top modeling agencies such as FORD, Wilhelmina, DNA, NY Models, ELITE, and others building portfolios for up and coming models and already established models. I’ve been fortunate enough via this occupation to travel and see the world as well. Having seen so much art, history and beauty, I realized that I wanted to pursue other avenues, topics and subjects for the images I hoped to capture. So, as you may very well tell, I have decided to share them all with you. When it comes to photography, I believe in capturing moments in time that my clients, family, friends and loved ones can cherish forever.
